Intended learning outcomes
This course aims the training in municipal infrastructures for water supply and wastewater and storm water drainage systems for populations up to 10,000 inhabitants, with the following learning objectives:
- To identify and to interpret conceptual solutions of different hydraulic infrastructures relating them to physical and environmental conditions, socio‐ economic benefits and safety and operating requirements;
- To develop the hydraulic sizing of water supply systems and urban wastewater and storm water drainage systems;
- To develop economic studies of solutions;
- To recognize the operational safety requirements of such systems and identify the necessary manoeuvring and safety equipment;
- To identify the materials and accessory elements required for water supply and drainage systems construction and to know the applicable regulations.
